German designer Wheelsandmore presented an interesting project both in aesthetics and in his name: it is the Ferrari F488 GTB Settecento-Trenta, a model that intends to go a step further in the new supercar of the Maranello brand. For this, Wheelsandmore has made a series of aesthetic and mechanical changes in Ferrari. In terms of efficiency, for example, we find two options: the first one consists of an ECU upgrade and new air filters, achieving 50 extra cv and reaching up to 720 hp and 840 Nm of torque. All this for 2,941 euros. The second option adds a new exhaust system where the F488 GTB Settecento-Trenta offers 735 hp (hence the name) and 850 Nm. Its price, as well as its power, is also much higher: 7,897 euros. In visual terms, in this Ferrari F488 GTB so special stand out the ultra-light wheels Wheelsandmore Fit Fiwe 21-inch, with Hankook tires 245/30/21 in the front and 345/25/21 in the rear. For now, it is a virtual recreation, but it should come as reality brief.
2016 – FERRARI F488 GTB xXx PERFORMANCE
The Ferrari F488 GTB xXx Performance is the first major mechanical preparation that the new model of the Italian brand receives. So far, one of the easiest ways to gain power in a sport like this was at the base of the supercharger, but the Ferrari F488 GTB is the first model of the brand that arrives equipped not with one, but with two turbos, so the only difference of the past is that now you have half a job done. Recalling that Ferrari’s engines up until now were all naturally aspirated. But the preparer squeezed the turbos a bit more to gain additional power. The xXx Performance has divided its offer into three different kits. The Stage 1 increases the power of the 670 hp and 760 Nm to 750 hp and 830 Nm. From there the power only increases. The Stage 2 reaches 850 hp and 930 Nm, while Stage 3 reaches the magic number of 1,000 hp and 1,250 Nm of torque: the wildest power kit ever offered to the Ferrari F488. The power comes in addition to the optimization and increased pressure in the turbos, thanks to a reprogramming of the ECU, a personalized air intake and a new exhaust system. The trainer also gave your Ferrari F488 xXx Performance a good extra carbon fiber, both on the front, as well as on other components such as the rearview mirrors, rear spoiler masks and side flap. To conclude, it installed spectacular Vossen VPS-315T 21-inch multi-spoke wheels with tires measuring 245/30 ZR21 in the front and 325/35 ZR21 in the rear. In addition, the suspension has been lowered by 35 mm, and incorporates a hydraulic system on the front axle to raise the suspension when you have to cross spines and other obstacles you may encounter.
2016 – FERRARI F488 SPIDER
The world premiere of the convertible version of the Ferrari F488 GTB took place at the last Frankfurt Motor Show in September last year. It is the F488 GTB retractable hardtop version, on which it is based and with which it shares the great majority of its elements. The Maranello house boast of being the first to introduce the RHT (retractable hard top), a solution that saves 25 kg of weight in vehicles and that provides greater comfort in driving than the classic canvas hood. In this case it folds into two overlapping sections that are gathered close to the engine, taking up very little space. The opening maneuver is done automatically in only 14 seconds. To compensate for the loss of rigidity due to the absence of the roof, the Ferrari F488 Spider uses a chassis made of 11 aluminum alloys with other noble materials. The result is very good, since it equals the same stiffness dimensions of his brother coupe. It also outperforms its predecessor, the F458 Spider by 23%. The final dry weight is 1,420 kg, which means only 50 kg more than the F488 GTB. The aerodynamics have also been taken care of and the Ferrari staff ensures that in this respect it is the best Spider they have ever made. The ‘humps’ from behind the seats serve to bring the air back to the engine cover. Another solution is a rear window that can be adjusted in three different positions, thus allowing a little air to pass, eliminating the turbulence, allowing you to hear the roar of the engine. The engine is the same that uses the F488 GTB, a 3.9-liter V8 with two turbos, generating a power of 670 hp at 8,000 rpm and 760 Nm of torque from 3,000 rpm. With this configuration it is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km / h. It also accelerates from 0 to 200 km / h in just 8.7 seconds and is far superior to its predecessor in every way. Response times are 9% faster than the F458 Spider and its acceleration in corners is 12% faster thanks to the SSC2 (Side Sliding Angle Control) system. In addition, it has reduced its CO2 emissions to 260 g / km and its average consumption is 8.8 km / l, a number that is sure to be difficult to achieve.
2016 – FERRARI F488 SPIDER BY NOVITEC ROSSO
Novitec Rosso presented his latest work on the Spider version of the Ferrari F488. The models that pass through the hands of this German preparer are characterized by personality and refinement, without extravagance or extremely radical modifications. This made the Novitec Rosso staff find a niche in the tuning market. After having done work on the Ferrari F488 GTB, this time they unveiled their new enhancement package for the Ferrari F488 Spider. A complete program of adjustments where we find both aesthetic and mechanical novelties. Taking a look outside, we noticed a new line thanks to a body kit that was developed after several tests in wind tunnel. The preparer added a new front spoiler, side skirts, new front air intakes as well as a new diffuser and rear spoiler. To this we add new carcasses to the rearview mirrors in carbon fiber, while we can optionally add trimmings – also of carbon fiber – to the taillights. It is also noticed that the height of the body in relation to the ground has been reduced thanks to the installation of an optimization for the hydraulic suspension. A suspension that adapts in real time depending on the speed of movement.
And to finish with the new features in the outdoor unit, new 21 and 22 inchNovitec Rosso NF4 forged wheels (front and rear axle) come on with Pirelli P Zero 255/30 ZR 21 and 335/25 ZR 22 high performance tires. Optionally, customers can order the Novitec Rosso NF7 wheels with a design of ten very thin spokes. Inside, the Novitec Rosso offers the possibility of replacing the standard upholstery with new leather and Alcantara available in any color imaginable. The idea in this regard is to modify the interior to the taste of each client, achieving a totally customized environment. One of the most interesting aspects of this new preparation is the mechanical equipment. The preparer allows the choice between different potentiation stages for the 3.9-liter Twin-Turbo V8 engine. To enhance its performance was added an N-Tronic optimization for the ECU and the installation of a Novitec Rosso exhaust system with electronic sound management. In its higher power stage, it can achieve an extra power of 102 hp engine and 132 Nm of maximum torque. In this way, we speak of a total power of 772 hp and 892 Nm respectively. Thanks to this increase, the Ferrari F488 Spider modified by the Novitec Rosso is now able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 342 km / h.
2016 – FERRARI SP275 RW COMPETIZIONE
The Ferrari SP275 RW Competizione is a one-off model of the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta that was presented at the ‘FinaliMondiali’ celebrated in Daytona (USA). This unique copy belongs to Rick Workman, a Florida dentist who just received the model and did not want to miss the opportunity to show it to all the fans. Being based on the F12 Berlinetta, it receives a customized body to differentiate it from the standard model. The model features an exterior finish in yellow with details in carbon fiber, clearly inspired by the Ferrari 275 GTB / C Speciale of 1964, model of which only three units were manufactured. The Ferrari SP275 RW Competizione has a more understated appearance than the supersport it is based on, inheriting design traits of the Berlinetta Lusso that the Touring Superleggera unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2015. It also features side air intakes, headlights based on the F60 America and the hood cleaner style than the F12 Berlinetta. What remains a mystery is the engine that hides under the huge front hood. Probably this is the natural aspiration V12 and 6.3 liter that equips the Ferrari F12tdf, which produces 780 hp of power and 705 Nm of torque.
2015 – FERRARI CALIFORNIA T
Ferrari made some mystery about the new California, but finally released the first official images of the second generation of the model. Keeping the retractable hardtop, it will be called the Ferrari California T. The design is very close to that of its sister F12 Berlinetta, with redesigned headlights, LED flashlights, side air vents, perforated hood, air diffuser on the side rear and four exhaust ports. Besides the visual, the mechanics are also featured. The supersport uses the same engine as the Maserati Quattroporte, a 3.8 V8 biturbo with 560 hp and 79 kgfm of torque coupled to the automated dual-clutch and seven-speed gearbox. This set can take the 1,625 kg of the model at 100 km / h in just 3.6 seconds. Inside, there are some similarities to the Berlinetta F12, such as the start button, air controls, steering wheel and even the brake pedals and accelerator. With the first public appearance scheduled for the Geneva Motor Show, the Ferrari California promises to please also the new set-up suspension and steering.
2015 – FERRARI CALIFORNIA T NOVITEC ROSSO
The move to turbo-equipped engines with the California T, and more recently with the 488 GTB, was a kind of watershed for Ferrari, with the Maranello brand historically having avoided the system for street cars. Before California T, we would have to go back to the Ferrari F40, which ended its production in 1992, to find a street car with the turbo system in the Ferrari lineup. Nothing provides as much power as a turbo, and Novitec took advantage of that advantage by upgrading the 3.9-liter V8 engine management software and added a new exhaust system bringing the California T with a total power of 658 hp and 870 Nm of torque. The aerodynamic package has been tested in wind tunnel, and all components are available in carbon fiber. The car features front spoiler, bonnet inserts, fender ventilation, side panels, air outlet cover on the rear bumper and a rear spoiler. The alloy wheels are in the measures of 21 inches in the front and 22 inches in the rear.
